The ACHAP 10th biennial conference brought together 100 delegates from 14 countries. The conference took place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 11th to 15th July 2022.
The sessions explored an array of topics, including the role of Faith leaders in crisis contexts, pandemic preparedness, investing in communities, leveraging technology as a tool for health programming, among others. At the end of the conference, a Call to Action for COVID-19 Vaccine uptake in Africa was drafted and adopted.
Going forward, we anticipate positive results across the continent in regard to adoption of the COVID-19 vaccine, and increased collaboration among governments, faith-based organisations, and private sector actors towards health crisis preparedness and management.
