The ACHAP 11th Biennial Conference saw over 90 participants from all over the world gather in Abuja, Nigeria, for discussions centered on Universal Health Coverage. The 4-day conference was hosted by our in-country member, CHAN, and featured health experts including our two keynote speakers; Dr. Walter Kazadi Mulombo of WHO, and Ariella Camera of USAID.
Presentations on the conference sub-themes highlighted the redefinition of health and wellness, innovative approaches towards health systems strengthening, effective partnerships, the critical role of local capacity strengthening, and enhancing the quality of healthcare service delivery.
This conference was a pivotal engagement for ACHAP, as it provided a platform for engagement with new potential partners, and the possibility of expanding our interventions into new thematic areas such as Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
Notably, the conference garnered substantial media coverage from our partners IMA and Internews, as well as local Nigerian media houses. This publicity will go a long way in increasing our notoriety in Africa, especially as we look to expand our reach in countries where ACHAP has no members.
We extend our gratitude to the host, organisers, sponsors, and participants who made all of this possible.
